Inez's Biography

Since joining the University of Houston in 2017, Inez has played a key role in fostering community and communication within the university. Now, in her new position with the College of Optometry, she leads our communications strategy, oversees media relations, and crafts innovative approaches to elevate the college’s profile and reputation.

Prior to this role, Inez served as the Executive Director of Communication at the Cullen College of Engineering, bringing a depth of experience from her leadership positions in higher education and the nonprofit sector. A proud alumna, she holds a bachelor’s degree in organizational communications from the University of Houston.
