Commencement

Out the Door

All Class of 2025 students are expected to attend this meeting on the morning of Thursday, May 2 at 7:45 AM in Classroom 267 of the Health 1 building.

Date/Time/Location

Saturday, May 10, 2025, 2pm at the Cullen Performance Hall

Students are expected to arrive between 12:30 - 1PM. Please enter Cullen Performance Hall through the doors facing the fountains. 

Anyone entering Cullen Performance Hall will be screened through magnetometers. This includes faculty, staff, and students participating in the ceremony.

Clear Bag Policy

The UH Clear Bag policy will be enforced in the Cullen Performance Hall during our commencement ceremony. The UH Clear Bag is as follows:

  • A clear bag at 12"x6"x12" (LxWxH) or 1 Gallon sized ziploc bag or a small clutch at 4.5"x6.5" (LxW) no thicker than 3.5".
  • Wristlets must not be over 4.5"x6.5" (LxW) no thicker than 3.5".
  • Billfolds must not be over 6"x9" (LxW).
  • This policy is subject to change without notice.
  • All measurements are US Customary units in inches.

Regalia

Announcements regarding regalia ordering will be posted in spring 2025.

Tickets

Tickets will be required for all University Commencement ceremonies. Per University protocol, each graduate will be emailed a link to download six (6) electronic tickets closer to the date of the ceremony. Graduates themselves will not require a ticket. Children two (2) years of age and younger will not require tickets.

Apply to Graduate:

Students need to complete the "Apply to Graduate" function in their PeopleSoft account. This is required for the College to certify your eligibility for commencement and for degree to print on transcripts. Deadline details for "Apply to Graduate" will be posted in spring 2025.
